Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Real Deal Verified’s website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1) Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the age required by local law) to use the Services.
- You are responsible for your account and for maintaining the security of your sign-in methods.
- You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated.
2) Reviews, ratings, and community standards
Real Deal Verified is designed to publish structured, experience-based reviews. You agree that your content will be truthful to the best of your knowledge and will reflect your genuine experience.
A. Review standards (high level)
- Firsthand experience: Reviews must be based on your own visit or stay.
- Experience-based language: Describe what you observed and experienced rather than making definitive scientific or medical claims.
- No harassment: No hate speech, threats, or targeted harassment.
- No doxxing: Do not post private personal information about others.
- No fraud: No paid, fake, or incentivized reviews without disclosure; no impersonation.
B. Moderation
We may review, edit, restrict, or remove content to enforce these Terms, our standards, and safety requirements. We may also queue content for review before it becomes widely visible.
3) Media uploads and transcription feature
You may choose to upload photos, audio, or video as supporting context for your review. You may also choose to record audio dictation to generate a transcript that helps draft your review notes.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any media you submit.
- Do not record or upload content that violates laws or other people’s rights (including privacy rights).
- Transcription output may contain errors; you should review before submitting.
4) User content license
You retain ownership of content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant Real Deal Verified a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting, safety, and moderation), publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, and create derivative works of your User Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Services.
This license includes using excerpts of your reviews for marketing the Services (for example, highlighting a review snippet), subject to reasonable efforts to avoid exposing private information.
5) Aggregated and de-identified analytics
We may create and use aggregated and de-identified information derived from use of the Services (for example, trend metrics, average scores, and general insights). We may use this information for analytics, product improvement, and business-facing reporting. Aggregated and de-identified information is not intended to identify you.
6) Optional model improvement (opt-in)
We may offer an optional opt-in that allows us to use certain content (such as review text or dictation transcripts) to improve our systems. If offered, it will be clearly presented and optional, and you can change your selection in settings when available.
7) Prohibited conduct
- Violating laws or regulations.
- Posting false, misleading, or deceptive content.
- Harassing, threatening, or defaming others.
- Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data without authorization.
- Uploading malware or interfering with the Services.
- Scraping or harvesting data at scale without permission.
- Using the Services to create or spread spam.
8) Intellectual property
The Services, including trademarks, logos, and software, are owned by Real Deal Verified or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Services.
9) Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Services or users. You may stop using the Services at any time.
10) Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that reviews are accurate, complete, or useful for any particular purpose. Real Deal Verified is not responsible for third-party venues or services.
11) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Real Deal Verified and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Services.
12) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Real Deal Verified from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of your User Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms.
13) Dispute resolution; governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Venue for disputes will be in the state or federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by law.
14) Changes to the Services or Terms
We may modify the Services and these Terms. We will update the effective date above. If changes are material, we will provide notice as required by law.
